Easton is back with their all new 2023 BBCOR line up! This time, the focus is on technological advancements, and there’s a lot of them! As you know, BBCOR is strictly -3 length-to-weight ratios, 2 5/8ths inch maximum barrel diameter and no longer than 36 inches. That being said, Below are some of the main features of the new 2023 Easton BBCOR lineup.

Starting with the Hype:

The 2023 Easton Hype Comp BBCOR baseball Bat (short for composite) has been meticulously engineered from every feature it boasts to deliver EXPLOSIVE performance at the plate as soon as it's out of the wrapper. From knob to end-cap, the Easton Hype Comp is built to give you the highest-performing composite BBCOR bat you'll find anywhere. For this breakdown, we will start with the barrel. If you’re familiar with Easton’s Thermo Composite Technology for their barrel design from last year's Hype, you will be familiar with just how well it performs. If you’re not familiar, Easton’s Thermo Composite Barrel Technology creates a massive sweet spot utilizing the lightest material possible thus maximizing both your bat speed and explosiveness on contact. This barrel design runs from the end cap to the handle connection point, maximizing your overall sweet spot of the barrel.

At the connection point we find the well known ‘ConneXion Max’ Connection piece. This connection piece maximizes the total energy transfer from handle to barrel. To sum up, this means that EVERY ounce of power you have in your swing is transferred into the barrel providing a strong, stiff feel on contact. Easton also incorporated “Nitrocell” foam into the connection piece to dramatically reduce handle vibration. Moving down the line to the handle we have what Easton calls their “Pro-Stiff” Carbon Handle. The Pro-stiff Carbon Handle is designed with extra stiff carbon fibers allowing minimal flexibility and maximum rigidity and stiffness. Coming to the handle, Easton’s “Power Boost” Soft Knob Technology provides hitters with added leverage all while reducing overall vibration as well as providing a soft, cushiony feel for that bottom hand.

2023 Easton Encore Hybrid BBCOR Baseball Bat:

The 2023 Easton Encore Hybrid BBCOR Baseball Bat is the culmination of all of Easton’s best features and cutting edge technology pulled into one bat resulting in a 2-piece hybrid bat that will make you a force to be reckoned with when up to the plate.

Starting with the Barrel, Easton has designed a combination of their widely popular R5 Alloy Barrel technology, thinned it out by 30% and internally reinforced and backed that alloy with their Thermo Composite Technology through the whole length of the barrel. This thinning out of the alloy and reinforcing it with composite has created an ultra-thin barrel wall, larger sweet spot as well as maximizing the trampoline effect you will get when hitting all while keeping up with performance and durability. The PureLynk CXN joint, the main connection point from barrel to handle, maximizes the energy transfer and stiff feel of the Pro-Stiff carbon handle. The Pro-Stiff Carbon Handle, as stated on the Hype Comp, is designed with extra stiff carbon fibers allowing minimal flexibility and maximum rigidity and stiffness. Again, stated prior, Easton’s “Power Boost” Soft Knob Technology provides hitters with added leverage all while reducing overall vibration as well as providing a soft, cushiony feel for that bottom hand.

2023 Easton Alpha ALX BBCOR Baseball Bat:

Coming in on the home stretch is Easton’s Alpha ALX BBCOR Baseball Bat. This 1-Piece alloy bat is built using the R5 Alloy material. Easton’s R5 Alloy design, used amongst other Alloy barrel designs, is a lightweight, high-performing alloy giving the bat amazing responsiveness as well as excellent durability and longevity. In combination with the R5 alloy, Easton added their Flywall Barrel design which features a ringless engineering process creating a massive sweet spot as well as a contact feel that’s smoother than silk. The “ping” sound this bat makes on contact will have everyone's heads turn and put you on the watchlist. Combining the Flow-tack grip and Power Boost Soft Knob Handle, you’ll be a force to be reckoned with.
