Evoshield's Protective Gear: Boosting Confidence at Bat

Evoshield's Protective Gear: Boosting Confidence at Bat

Have you ever been up at bat, the pitcher throws a wild pitch and ends up hitting you square in the elbow or worst of all, your wrist? That pain causes any hitter to lose confidence at the plate which in turn, could ruin their whole game. Any player knows that confidence at bat has a huge effect on that player's performance and the fear of getting hit should not be at the forefront of that player's consciousness. Luckily, there’s a company out there that you might have heard of called Evoshield! Evoshield produces a variety of protective gear to keep your confidence high and let you play without fear or hesitation! In today’s write-up we will be discussing Evoshield’s protective gear and the overall design of their products as well as their all new line called the Pro-SRZ™ 2.0.

Evoshield’s design

For the design review of Evoshield we will be particularly focusing on the new Pro-SRZ™ 2.0 models as this has Evoshield’s newest shock dispersion tech applied to it. And yes, you read that correctly, Evoshield actually disperses the impacts and shocks rather than absorbing them. This protects you better than traditional foam or plastic padded guards where you would still feel the sting of the impact. This is one of the most notable differences Evoshield has over their competitors. There are two main designs on their products that cause this disbursement of shock vs absorption.

First, is the air-activated “Gel-to-Shell” Technology, which allows the player to actually mold the guard to the shape of their body, providing a snug and comfortable fit. This “Gel-to-Shell” Technology is actually a unique porous composite material that hardens with exposure to air. Once the guard is removed from its foil wrapper, the player has approximately 30 minutes to shape the shield to the respective part of their body. Once it is shaped, it will take form and harden for a long lasting, perfect fit.

The second is Evoshield’s Dispersion Technology. As stated above, one of Evoshield’s main differences from other competitors is how their guards disperse shocks and impacts vs absorbing them like traditional guards do. When a player is hit with a pitch or a ball, the impact force from that ball is diffused across the ultra-thin layers of the patented composite material Evoshield uses. As that impact force is being dispersed across these ultra-thin layers, it is then even further dispersed across the entire surface area of the shield. This minimizes the overall felt force at the point of impact. Due to the patented design and material of this, Evoshield is capable of minimizing the bulkiness of traditional padding while providing even greater protection.

The Pro-SRZ™ 2.0 Guards

Some updates from previous models include an all new iridescent pull tab and logos for better visibility and to showcase a more modern look. The new models also provide an updated 3D comfort mesh material expanding the entire interior of the guard to better manage moisture and to improve overall comfort for the player. For the Pro-SRZ™ 2.0 Batter’s Elbow guards, you'll see a 10% increase in guard length than prior models. Below are a few of Evoshield’s new Pro-SRZ™ 2.0 products that we carry here at Headbanger Sports
